Kontakperkasa Futures – Harga emas tergelincir tajam setelah data konsumsi warga Amerika Serikat (AS) menunjukkan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang masih kokoh. Pada perdagangan Kamis (31/8/2023), harga emas di pasar spot ditutup pada level US$ 1.939,74 per troy ons, mengalami penurunan sebesar 0,13%. Ini menandai akhir tren positif emas yang telah berlangsung selama tiga hari perdagangan sebelumnya.

Secara keseluruhan, kinerja emas pada bulan Agustus tahun ini sangat mengecewakan. Harga logam mulia ini merosot sebesar 1,24% setelah mencatat kenaikan sebesar 2,32% pada bulan Juli.

Tidak hanya itu, pada perdagangan Jumat (1/9/2023), harga emas masih terus melemah, mencapai US$ 1.939,60 per troy ons atau mengalami penurunan sebesar 0,007%.

Peningkatan konsumsi pribadi warga AS, yang diukur dengan Personal Consumer Expenditure (PCE), menjadi 3,3% (year on year/yoy) pada Juli 2023, naik dari angka 3% pada Juni. Meskipun stagnan secara bulanan di angka 0,2% pada Juli, pengeluaran pribadi warga AS melonjak tak terduga sebesar 0,8% secara bulanan pada bulan yang sama, mencapai rekor tertinggi sejak Januari tahun ini.

Kenaikan PCE ini tentu saja membuat pelaku pasar khawatir. Dengan kenaikan PCE, ada potensi bahwa laju inflasi AS masih akan tetap kuat di masa mendatang, yang membuat Bank Sentral AS, The Federal Reserve (The Fed), kesulitan untuk melonggarkan kebijakan moneter.

Menurut analis dari RJO Futures, Bob Haberkorn, “Angka PCE dan klaim pengangguran memang tidak begitu baik, tetapi juga tidak sepenuhnya buruk. Pasar mempertimbangkan kemungkinan The Fed untuk tetap mempertahankan suku bunga.”

Sementara itu, analis dari Saxo Bank, Ole Hansen, memperkirakan bahwa titik resistance emas selanjutnya akan berada di level US$ 1.950 per troy ons ke depan. – Kontakperkasa Futures
